In this blog, I am going to talk about time management strategy fritter finder and D’s Due&Do Oranizer.
Fritter find is helpful as it can give you an overall impression that how much time you can use every week day for independent study. Here is my fritter finder below. Instead of identifying the classes of each day, I have highlighted the non-class time each day. From this, I can see the distribution of non-class time visually. For example, I have 12 hours non-class time on Tuesday, during which I can finish more assignments. While on Monday, as I have five successive classes, I only have about 5 hours non-class time to study independently. As a result, I can spend more time on finishing tasks on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I can still finish some time-consuming tasks like writing an essay. While on Mondays I can deal with smaller tasks.
I have also used D’s Due&Do Organizer for all the courses. Here are the weekly organizers for this week and next week. I have listed all the due and do dates for the assignments. As I have registered 6 courses this semester, there are a lot of things to do for each class. As a result, the organizer is very helpful as I can plan ahead to finish the assignments. Moreover, it is a good reminder. So there is no excuse to miss an assignment.
I also have a monthly organizer. I have only listed the names of the courses as there is only limited space for each day. In the corresponding weekly planner, I have listed a complete version of the assignments for each day. As you can see, there are lots of things to do and there is no light week as I have registered for 6 classes.
These two time management strategies are both helpful. It is even more helpful if you can use these two strategies together. The fitter finder can give you an overall impression about how much time you can use indepently every day while the organizers help you to distribute assignemtts and to stay on track on the daily basis.
Thanks for sharing! I like the way you made your Fritter Finder weekly schedule. It seems much better than mine. Coloring free time by orange makes all the fritter times very showy.
ReplyDeleteGreat work, I was particularly interested in the weekly do and due calendar; very well organized. Have you considered using it with a target planner?
ReplyDeleteI really like your Fritter Finder. With the colors it help identify task so much more easier. It is very well organized with the due date on weekly calendar. From this, I am going to use Fritter Finder to organize my time and prioritize my task. Well done!!
