Ranking Priorities: Is a problem solving skill that helps students rank the multiple assignments they have due in each class. The also help identify which assignments need immediate attention and help students prioritize how and when to do homework for their perspective classes. This skill begins by taking all assignments due and ranking them as: A) Absolutely Essential, I) Important, and C) Optional. Once you have ranked your assignment to one of the three choices, you rank each homework assignment based on what requires the most immediate attention within each rank. For example if you have 3 assignments you believe are absolutely essential you rank them A1, A2, and A3. As shown below in my ranking priorities table I took all my assignments from this week that I had to complete and rank and prioritized them. It helps me organize my work and complete my assignments on time.

My favorite Problem Solution
In this week's blog the topic is problem solving skills. With this in mind I have chosen to focus on one problem solving skill. Ranking Priorities and the In versus wants problem solving strategy.
I find this problem solving skill very effective because it allows me to take all my assignments that are due in a week and organize them. With this skill I can prioritize what assignments are most important, what assignments deserve immediate attention, and the order in which I complete these assignments. This skill allowed me to organize myself and prioritize what assignments I must complete and in what order. I highly recommend this problem solving skill.

Your ranking priorities looks great Ben!
ReplyDeleteI would suggest that you put in the due dates of each assignment as well. This way you can plan your study ahead of time. Also, using different colors the way viola did can be beneficial as well. This might help you distinguish the most important from the least important tasks. Well done!! :)

Hi Ben! Gread job!
ReplyDeleteI like the chart, it is so clear. As Paul suggested, putting in the due dates will make the chart better. I will add due dates to my planner next time.
